The Story Behind Curb Appeal MDX
Curb Appeal MDX started with a simple goal — to make home maintenance safe, simple, and trustworthy again.
The idea was born after my sister hired a contractor to build her fence. He looked legitimate — had a website, good reviews, and even offered a discount for paying upfront — but he disappeared after taking the money. After years of court battles, multiple families were each out thousands of dollars.
That experience opened my eyes to how often homeowners are taken advantage of and how little protection they have. It also showed me that there are countless honest service providers who struggle to find steady, trustworthy work.
Curb Appeal MDX was built to fix both problems — giving homeowners a trusted, tech-enabled way to manage their homes, and providing reliable jobs for local pros who do things the right way.
Meet the Owner
Hi, I’m Carter Filion, owner of Curb Appeal MDX, husband to Mickelle, and proud dad to Maddox — the “MDX” in our name. Becoming a dad gave me a whole new level of motivation and perspective. “MDX” serves as a daily reminder of why I do this — to build something reliable, meaningful, and family-centered.
I graduated from Southern Utah University with a degree in Business Management and minors in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, and I’m currently part of the Master of Business Creation (MBC) program at the University of Utah.
For me, this business is about more than services — it’s about doing things the right way and helping families take pride in their homes.
