OUR STORY
Built on Principle
MDX exists because the construction industry has an honesty problem — and someone in our family paid for it. We built this company to be the contractor we wish our family had found.
WHY WE EXIST
THE INDUSTRY HAS AN ACCOUNTABILITY PROBLEM
A family member hired a contractor to do a job. The communication stopped. The work dragged. And when something wasn't right, there was no one to call — just excuses and unanswered texts. The contractor moved on. The problem didn't. That experience is why MDX exists. Not to claim we're different, but to actually operate differently — with clear scope before work starts, professional trades on every job, and a single point of contact who picks up the phone when something needs to be addressed.
WHO WE ARE
UTAH-ROOTED. BUSINESS MINDED.
MDX is led by Carter Filion — a Utah native with roots in construction, a background in business, and a direct stake in the communities where we work. Carter grew up around the industry, spent years in construction sales and operations, and built MDX to bring that experience to clients across the Greater SLC area who deserve better than what most contractors offer. We're not a large firm with layers of overhead and project managers you'll never meet. We're a tight, professional operation that takes a limited number of projects at a time — because doing fewer things well matters more than doing everything at once.
WHAT WE'RE BUILDING
A STANDARD WORTH PASSING DOWN.
Quality and integrity aren't words we put on a business card. They're words that were lived out in front of us — by people who built things the right way, kept their word, and let the work speak for itself. That legacy is the reason MDX exists and the standard every project is measured against. We're not building a company to flip or franchise. We're building something worth being proud of — job by job, client by client, on the Wasatch Front and beyond. The kind of operation where the reputation arrives before you do.
